How to take your measurements
For us to create your unique made-to-measure pieces we require 3 simple measurements for a wire-free bra, 5 measurements if you want to order a wired bra, and 2 simple measurements for an undie. Measuring yourself can feel scary when you're not used to doing it but it's actually much easier than you think. Let's get started!
Take your measurements over your best fitting bra.
Ideally you should take your measurements over a NON PADDED bra, if possible.
How to read the tape accurately
See the pictures here for reference. The centimeter number for your measurement is the number with the "measurement box" or "line" fully revealed. Write down the additional millimeters if your measurement isn't a full number.
For fuller busts,
LEAN FORWARD as you take your BUST MEASUREMENT.
This is so that you catch your entire breast tissue, even the tissue that might lie on the side.
Bra Measurements
There are 3 simple measurements we need to create your bra (with 2 additional measurements if you select a wired bra):
- BUST MEASUREMENT
- UNDERBUST MEASUREMENT
- SHOULDER STRAP MEASUREMENT
BUST MEASUREMENT
Measure around the fullest part of your bust (usually over the nipples). Make sure the tape lays FLAT and is LEVELLED parallel to the floor around your body. Make sure NOT TO TAKE THIS MEASUREMENT TO TIGHT (since the breast tissue is quite soft).
UNDERBUST MEASUREMENT
Measure around your torso, directly under your bust. Make sure the tape lays FLAT and is LEVELLED parallel to the floor around your body.
SHOULDER STRAP
Place the tape measure at the join between the cup and the shoulder strap. Follow the shoulder strap with your tape and record the measurement.
Additional Measurements for WIRED BRAs
WIRE MEASUREMENT
The wire requires 2 measurements: First, measure the distance between the 2 ends of the cup wire HORIZONTALLY. Record the number. Second, measure the distance VERTICALLY between the level of the wires ends and the lowest part of the wire. Record the measurement.
CENTER FRONT MEASUREMENT
Measure the distance between the 2 cup wires at the top of the bridge.
Undie Measurements
There are 2 simple measurements we need to create your undie:
- HIP MEASUREMENT
- HIGH HIP MEASUREMENT
HIP MEASUREMENT
Measure around the fullest part of your buttocks. Make sure the tape lays FLAT and is LEVELLED parallel to the floor around your body.
HIGH HIP MEASUREMENT
Measure around your hip bone, directly over your buttocks. Make sure the tape lays FLAT and is LEVELLED parallel to the floor around your body.
